Accelerated BSN Nursing Clinicals
Nursing clinicals are an essential part of the accelerated Bachelor of Science in nursing program because they offer a window into what it’s like to work as a nurse.
During clinical rotations, you will provide direct patient care while under your preceptor’s careful supervision. This is where all you have learned throughout the ABSN curriculum comes together as you develop your clinical skills and judgment.
How Clinical Rotations Work
During clinical placements, you will step outside of the Northwest Arkansas ABSN program site to experience a typical shift as a registered nurse. Every day as a nurse can be different, but clinicals provide the opportunity for you to work with real health care professionals in a local health care facility, helping you to understand what it is like to treat patients.
Though you will be under the supervision of clinical instructors, this portion of the Harding ABSN program is where you’ll put into action, in a live setting, the skills you’ve learned in your nursing simulation labs and the procedures you’ve learned in your online coursework.
